As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission at MOM Film Fest is to serve as a
career development and advocacy resource for moms working in film and television.
As a team of diverse filmmaker moms, we’ve experienced racism and gender bias. We’re fighting for diversity, equity, and inclusion for all moms, and also to empower the women who are still mothering in the shadows.
Of films selected for our annual film festival feature a mom in a leadership position on the project.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 20th at 10am-1pm EDT
The first several pages of a script must be able to do one thing: grab the reader’s attention. During this workshop, we will dissect the first 5 pages of a screenplay and take a deep dive into the elements that make it standout. We will use this time to work on our scripts and see how we can improve upon our opening pages. Join us on this ‘playdate’ as we have fun in our creative sandboxes while playing with words and ideas in a safe space. Learn More About Laura and Register Here.
