What is MOM Film Fest?
MOM Film Fest, Inc. is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that serves as a career development and advocacy resource for mothers working in film and television. Our mission is to amplify content made by moms and create opportunities that will get #momsbackonset and back to work in the film and television industry.
Why is it important that Mom Film Fest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization?
Being a non-profit enables us to play a vital role in building awareness and delivering support to our community. By having a focused mission to help women/mom filmmakers, we intend to inspire others to help. This will enable sponsors and donors to also join in the mission to support moms working in film. We hope you will join us too!
OUR ANNUAL FILM FESTIVAL
Do I need to be a mom to submit my project?
Not at all. Anyone is welcome to submit their project to the majority of our award categories, as long as a mom held a leadership position on that project. However, please note that in order to be considered for the Best Director, Best Cinematographer, or Outstanding Performance categories – a mom must have served that role on the project being submitted.
What types of projects do you accept?
We accept short films and series of any genre made anytime after 2017 and with a maximum runtime of 30 minutes. When submitting a series, at least 2 episodes must be submitted and the total runtime of all episodes cannot exceed 30 minutes.
What are the submission deadlines?

When does the festival take place?
The festival takes place online and all films can be viewed on our website during our festival dates. There are often virtual and in-person events including panels, industry networking mixers, workshops, and our awards ceremony.

What makes this film festival different than other film festivals?
MOM Film Fest was founded by mom filmmakers for mom filmmakers. Very often overlooked and underpaid, moms make up a growing percentage of filmmakers and deserve support from the industry. We are more than a film festival – our mission is to also serve as a career development and advocacy resource for moms working in film and television. One step beyond that, we are an amazing group of women who are there to help each other get our content out into the world.

How can I partner or become a sponsor?
In our partnerships and sponsorships with companies, brands, and like-minded organizations, , the main thing we look for are that understand the importance of supporting the women currently raising the next generation of world leaders, scholars, and creatives and the impact that will have on society. Who are not overlooking this generation of women as they understand the significance of supporting those raising leaders, scientists, etc.
How can I become an ambassador?
The role of ambassador for our organization is reserved for filmmakers whose projects were included in our festival the previous year.
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely. We need volunteers in many different areas and would love to hear what you’re interested in assisting us with. Be sure to reach out and let us know!
Can anyone donate?
Yes! Anyone interested in supporting MOM Film Fest’s programs and initiatives is welcome to donate. All of your donations are greatly appreciated and they are also tax deductible. The proceeds from all of our merchandise sales go directly to our programming so be sure to check out our merchandise while supplies last.
